This is the latest version of the Reverend Reeves Gabrels Signature guitar, with Flame Maple top, roasted Maple neck and bound Ebony Fretboard. Originally released in 2008, the Reverend Reeves Gabrels Signature electric guitar has evolved over the years. At Reeves’s request, this latest model returns to the more traditional headstock configuration seen on earlier versions of the model (the most recent previous iteration had a slanted headstock). The guitar is loaded with RG signature Railhammer Pickups for Reeves’s signature tone with outstanding clarity.

REVEREND REEVES GABRELS SIGNATURE WITH ROASTED MAPLE NECK
The build quality of this guitar is spectacular, especially for the asking price! The Reverend Reeves Gabrels in Satin Black Flame Maple is one of the Cure guitarist’s signature models. He is also famed for working with David Bowie and other big-name artists. Utilizing Korina for the body, this guitar has a nice weight and plenty of resonance.
Bolted onto the body is Reverend’s now-famous, ultra-playable Roasted Maple neck. Reverend really pioneered the introduction of Roasted Maple outside the high-end, boutique market, and many other brands are now following suit. This neck not only feels stunning, but is more resistant to temperature and humidity, improving tuning stability and sustain. The Reeves Gabrels Signature now comes with a 12” radius bound Ebony fretboard, with gloss black headstock face. Reverend have created a very comfortable body and neck with the Reeves Gabrels guitar.
RAILHAMMER RG SIGNATURE PICKUPS, PUSH/PULL PHASE, AND BASS CONTOUR CONTROL
This guitar comes with some pretty amazing hardware. The most standout of which are the Railhammer pickups. New signature RG Neck and Bridge. They offer a tight bottom end and a fat high end which drives hard and cuts through the mix like a knife, even with heavy overdrive. The Reeves Reeves Gabrels Black also comes with a push/pull phase switch. This greatly boosts the versatility of this instrument. Also worthy of mention is Reverend’s Bass Contour control. This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil! Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips.
An extremely solid and stable WVS50 II Wilkinson Trem has been fitted – one of the best non-locking tremolo bridges we have ever come across at Je Matt Guitar. The trem now features another new Joe Naylor invention, the Vari-Claw. The Vari-Claw allows you to easily switch between 3 springs in the middle hooks of the claw for a firm feel, or 2 springs on the outside recessed hooks of the claw for a soft feel, with little or no adjustment to the claw itself. The Pinlock tuners help to keep it stable. There is also a cavity behind the trem to allow backward motion too.
