REVEREND TRIAD BASS WITH ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD
Fitted with three of Reverend’s Joe Naylor-Designed J-Rail pickups, the Reverend Triad Bass elicits an array of juicy J-bass tone, effortlessly controlled via the 5-way switch. Naylor is a bit of a genius when it comes to pickup design, so it’s perhaps not surprising that he’s managed to make these J-Rails both thicker than vintage, and still wonderfully evocative of that beloved J-Bass feel. They provide everything from percussive bridge response to earthen lows in the neck, combined with strong highs and expansive, open mids. Playing the Triad is best described as a 5-course bass tone banquet.
Being a Reverend, it doesn’t stop there, of course. The 5-Piece Roasted Maple/Walnut neck provides a masterclass in neck design, whatever price point you’re accustomed to playing. The 5-piece design augments the fundamental stability provided by the roasted maple, which has been literally roasted to remove impurities and excess moisture. It also feels amazing; Reverend has developed a reputation for producing some of the finest roasted maple necks out there. Fretwork is superb, further enhancing the Triad’s already outstanding playability.
Reverend’s hardware is really top notch, and accounts for the brand’s huge following among performing artists. The Triad Bass is fitted with Hipshot Ultralight tuners. Constructed from Aircraft grade aluminum, these tuners are perceptibly lighter than standard tuners and contribute to the Triad’s outstanding balance. The Boneite nut is more consistent than natural bone, reducing friction and allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability. The upgraded Pure Tone Technologies jack has dual contacts for improved grip, audio signal and reliability. 10% pots and caps are produced to much tighter tolerances than standard, and are more usually found on expensive boutique instruments.
If you’re looking for a new bass which looks, feels and sounds amazing, you can’t go wrong with the Reverend Triad. Try it out today.
